Lauren
Lauren is not currently accepting new referrals
Lauren is a Clinical Psychologist with over 17 years of experience. Lauren worked within the Health Department, including major teaching hospitals for 15 years, providing assessment, therapy and consultation for highly complex cases.
Lauren works with adults 18 years and above. She has a special interest in working with individuals who experience anxiety, mood disorders and ADHD. Lauren focuses on the social and emotional impacts of ADHD, especially the impact of late diagnosis.
Approaches: Schema therapy, CBT, Psychodynamic therapy, mindfulness based approaches
Lauren is a member of the Institute of Clinical Psychologists.
Marcel
Marcel is available for Thursday and Friday appointments.
Marcel is a Senior Clinical Psychologist and supervisor with over 17 years of experience. He currently works at a major teaching hospital in a senior position providing senior level intervention and consultation with highly complex cases. In this role he works alongside surgeons, nurses, physiotherapists and occupational therapists to help individuals recover from catastrophic physical injury.
At Focus, Marcel works with adults 18 years and above. Marcel has a special interest working with ADHD, sports psychology/performance, mood disorders and anxiety. Marcel is also adept at working with health care workers experiencing work place stress and burnout. His strength focused approach looks to help individuals improve quality of life, performance, interpersonal relationships and regulate strong emotions.
Approaches: CBT, Acceptance and Commitment therapy, Mindfulness based approaches.
Fees and Rebates
Our standard fee is $250. Medicare rebates apply with a GP mental health care plan or Psychiatrist referral. The current Medicare rebate is $145.25. Your private health insurance rebates depend on your individual level of cover.
